The Candidate
The ideal candidate will come with an owner’s mindset and extensive experience asset managing institutional and sub institutional multifamily assets in our target markets and the deep network of industry relationships necessary to hit the ground running immediately. The candidate will be responsible for asset performance, business plan execution including management enhancements, renovations, and other cap ex initiatives, variable operating expense management and maximizing property values.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience:
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will come with an owner’s mindset and extensive experience asset managing institutional and sub institutional multifamily assets in our target markets and the deep network of industry relationships necessary to hit the ground running immediately. The candidate will be responsible for asset performance, business plan execution including management enhancements, renovations, and other cap ex initiatives, variable operating expense management and maximizing property values.
- Provides overall direction and supervision of day-to-day operations for 5 Southern California properties.
- Regularly visits all properties to ensure each property is maintained to the highest standards with a continual focus on asset preservation and enhancement.
- Drives the recruitment and development of regional and property staff; provides one-on-one coaching, guidance, and mentoring to property leadership; ensures that all staff receive appropriate training.
- Reviews, approves, and monitors the completion of all capital projects being performed at properties.
- Partners with marketing in the development of programs to achieve optimum efficiency.
- Participates in monthly and quarterly portfolio performance meetings with Executive Management.
Responsibilities
- Perform property inspections to ensure property managers are maintaining the asset and maintaining good relationships with tenants and vendors.
- Manage property managers, project managers, construction managers, maintenance technicians and administrative staff to ensure all operational and administrative functions are fulfilled daily. Also responsible for annual performance evaluations for department staff.
- Maintain knowledge of current market conditions and construction industry rates and sources for competitive pricing.
- Monitor and review monthly operating results for both the property management and building services operations.
- Attend management meetings as requested by upper management.
- Report on department updates at staff meetings.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience:
- 4 years of multi-family asset management experience.
- Working knowledge of local and federals laws including Fair Housing and Landlord Tenant Laws.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence/coach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail.
- Required to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Possess the ability to work effectively with a professional and positive attitude.
- A professional and polished personal presence necessary, exhibiting discretion and integrity.
- Takes pride in representing the company by being the first point of contact via phone or in person.
- High degree of honesty and integrity.
- Proven ability to hold teams accountable for achieving results.
